General Information
American Embassy Monrovia processes nonimmigrant, immigrant, and diversity visas as well as aslyee and refugee follow-to-join derivatives. Nonimmigrant, or visiting, visa interviews are conducted Monday and Wednesday mornings. Immigrant and aslyee and refugee follow-to-join derivative visa interviews are conducted Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Diversity visa interviews are conducted on Thursday mornings. Important Notice for 2010 Diversity Visa Applicants
Diversity visa applicants seeking a change to their interview appointment time, are required to either 1) send their request in writing to consularmonrovia@state.gov or 2) appear at the Embassy at their originally scheduled date and time with a written request.
Due to the high volume of requests, qualified applicants may be eligible to receive one extension of one week from their originally scheduled appointment date and time (though this cannot be guaranteed). No additional or further requests can be honored, so please make every effort to appear at your originally scheduled interview date and time.
