The Public Diplomacy Section (PD) coordinates educational and cultural exchange activities that articulate U.S. foreign policy and promote greater mutual understanding between Liberia and the United States.

As part of its overall program of bilateral cooperation, PD supports several academic and professional development exchange programs for Liberian youth and professionals. Programs targeting Liberian professionals include the Fulbright Program, Humphrey Fellowship, and the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange & Study (YES) Program provides scholarships for Liberian high school students to spend up to one academic year studying in the United States.

PD offers educational advising services for students interested in studying in the U.S.

The Section also coordinates cultural exchange programs, which bring American musicians and artists to Liberia.
